Growing Up Types: Tricked by Fear

Do not be afraid of what you do not know or understand because the letters in fear represent:

(F) - false

(E) - evidence

(A) - appearing

(R) - real

Ninety-nine percent of the things that we fear have not happened yet, nor do they ever happen. So how do you know it is going to be bad? You really do not know so Fear Not.  This creature looks ferocious, a harry worm that would bite you if it could, but it is only a caterpillar becoming a beautiful butterfly.  Who is terrified of butterflies?

Growing Up Types --- Choose Your Battles

Adult Wisdom – Some people want to always be right, therefore they will argue with you about things that they care nothing about. They just want to be right and win the argument. You don’t have to argue and start fights, or participate in fights just to always be right but you do have to be clear about the consequences of your choices and decisions. Which one of the two – the butterfly or the caterpillar is going to win the argument of who got to the leaf first? It does not matter which one arrived first, what is important to both is which one can leave without a negative consequence.  It is important that they know what is going to happen when they leave. If the butterfly leaves it may fly to another leaf to eat or lay eggs, therefore it will lose nothing if it leaves; but if the caterpillar leaves it may not get the chance to complete the metamorphosis process to continue its life. So who is right about who got there first has nothing to do with the consequences of leaving.  When you know the consequences of your choices or decisions you can position yourself to follow through the desired process to reach your expected end because what is vitally important to you may not be of any importance to someone else.  Why fight over territory that you cannot leave, remember the one person that you cannot leave is you.  You always have a choice. Choose your battles wisely, do not fight over unimportant things.  Make decisions that add to your life and not decisions that take away from your life or livelihood. Ask yourself, "why do I care about this?" and if it does not add to your life, choose not to care (fight). If you understand this you will fight fewer battles and save yourself troublesome frustrations.

Growing Up Types: When Possible Make Peace

Do not yield to anger or confusion – They cheat you out of creativity, peace, harmony and victory. How many problems have anger solved? If you know any angry people they probably spear headed some confusion, if it is in your ability to do so make peace. Don't be a creator of confusion.

Adult Wisdom – Sometimes adults make bad decisions when they are in desperate need of money. They may come up with a dishonest scheme to get some money quickly, but when they do that the money they get dwindles away. It is better to come up with an honest way to increase your income because when you gather money honestly little by little it grows. It takes time for the Monarch butterflies to migrate to a warmer climate that is 2,500 miles away each year. They can only get there little by little; and trying to take a short cut by hitching a ride on something else that flies faster will cause them not to be at the right location. They will get somewhere faster but they will not be at the right place because only they know the location of the particular tree that they need. They use the same tree every year therefore, they do not need to be thousands of miles in the wrong direction and miss finding the correct tree. When that happens they lose time and if that is you then you lose that dishonest money. So gather your money honestly a little at a time and watch it grow.
